Save the Date... Photos at the Jones Victorian

Hi!

Another wonderful feature to having your Wedding and Reception here at the Jones Victorian Estate is an engagement shoot! Why?

There are so many locations that we just can't possibly utilize during a Wedding because of time restrains. So, what is the next best solution for a win win?

Our Brides can have their engagement photos taken here!!! They get to experience a relaxing afternoon strolling the grounds, hiking the hills, exploring old rock caves and enjoying the splendor and privacy that is ours alone. Brandi of BrandiBarrPhotography.com sent over these photographs!

Using the rock formations as a backdrop or sitting on top of them, this is one of the many locations we can't get to during a wedding. Nick and Kallie on top of the world!

Kallie and Nick in our field of wild mustard!
Here, they are behind the waterfalls, under the old windmill and surrounded by a trellis of bougainvillea!
Here, they take a walk down a secret pathway through our open field of wild mustard plants!
The perfect ending, the "Save The Date" photo. It was fun! Thank you for wearing comfy shoes!
Thank you Brandi for the photos!
Love and Smiles,
Michelle

Hi!

I just received these sneak peak photos from the photographers; Kim and Jeray! It was a perfect day and look what they captured?!!

Kim, Jeray, Stacy and I love this wild, yellow mustard. We have fields of it! Yellow everywhere! It was perfect because Stacy's colors are yellow and black. Who knew?
We got Joe to smile and what a smile he has!!
Here they are in our field and their joy is apparent! In a simple word... Gorgeous!
Lovely Stacy!
Our Phone booth never looked so good!
Is this the most precious picture ever???? I love it!! Great job Kim and Jeray!
We had time for the waterfalls too. What a lovely backdrop! It's spring and all the flowers are blooming!

A trip around the US for the Mr. and Mrs.

Hi!

Elise and Joe will be on their way shortly for a road trip around the U.S.A. for their special honeymoon. What a great idea to see the land and people that has made this country so great. Now that's the way to reinvest in America the old fashion way, spending their dollars here.

They combined the task of making the seating chart with their trip destinations. Their pink map, shown here, depicts all their stops and the tables were named for those stops. She made an additional sign listing all the table names with the guest that will be seated at each table. Both signs were a work of art! The table names were framed in vintage frames and added a timeless elegance to each table.

Beautifully done! I hope you have a wonderful time, Elise and Joe. I can't wait to see the pictures!

Baby's Breath... an old favorite with a huge punch!

Hi!

I remember when we would often use Baby's Breath in bouquets and centerpieces. It was pretty common occurrence. For about the last fifteen years, I haven't really used it in any of the decorations or designs.
Not until now!

Elise and Joe were married this weekend and her first flower of choice was the famous Baby's Breath! Her design theme included lace, pearls, crystals, Baby's Breath with a soft touch of pink.

Elise went outside the Bridal shops and traditional design and decided on vintage dresses for her Bridesmaids. All the dresses were darling in different shades of soft pinks. Each gown incorporated lace of some kind and reflected the style of each of her Bridesmaids. They carried an impressive bouquet of Baby's Breath wrapped in vintage lace. The result? Light, airy and perfect!

For their wedding, we lined the aisle with big, giant, fluffy puffs of Baby's Breath on black stands. We strung pearls through and around them and added a touch of vintage lace and waaalaaa.

The arch was covered in grapevine wreaths first, then layered and layered with fresh greens. It was topped off with puffs of Baby's Breath and pearls.

Baby's Breath never looked so good! Congratulations Elise and Joe!!
A special thanks to Alison and her crew at Flower Allie. Well done!
Love and Smiles,
Michelle

Your Style! Help when you need it!

Hi!

What is your style? The magazines are asking! The Bridal shops are asking! Your friends and family are asking! There are a myriad of answers but sometimes that simple question will send Brides panicking.

What is the solution? Easy! If you can't pin point your style, it will evolve! How, you ask?
It's what you like best. It's what makes you feel good. It's what puts a smile on your face when you think of it. It can be a lot of different things or just one.

My job is to help you find that answer and enjoy the process. Maybe you don't want a home-spun feel. Maybe you don't like to "make" things. Maybe you like simple lines and simple designs. Maybe you love all the ideas you see but don't know how to go about getting it or finding it.

To begin with, I ask all my Brides to make their planning binder. (I would rather than put one together instead of purchasing an organizer because it is so much less stressful) With the different labels for the different aspects of the Wedding, each Bride can freely collect everything that they enjoy or attracted to without sensor. Let me repeat that... without sensor. It's fun! Flower pictures, cake pictures, color wheels or samples, dining room set ups, gardening photos, lipstick color, it doesn't matter... all of it. Any of it.

When we get together, we bring out all the pictures and that's when the magic begins. Your style emerges! I'm there to help pull it all together and if you like, add special touches to make it even better... to make it you. Be Bold.

Let's plan together~

Signs! It's an enjoyable touch and a great detail!

Hi!

How about adding a sign to your Wedding and Reception decoration? It's fun and it's a wonderful way to greet your guests!! Besides, what a beautiful accent for your new home!!~!
Whether you are using a sign to welcome yours guests with a fresh, white, hand painted sign accented with flowers and knobs...
Or a hand painted sign that says "Wedding" with vintage fabric and fun cut outs....
Or a hand painted Welcome sign suspended from a shepherd's hook at the guest book table.....
Or a chalkboard sign that gives information....
Or a sign to designate your party from another...
Or a vintage sign that can add fun and humor...
Or a sign that you've painted that has a special quote, it doesn't matter. It's up to you! What would you like? Signs are perfect for a host of information and all at a price anyone can afford. You can use an old door, an old piece of wood, a couple of blanks of wood, a new cabinet door or a new piece of wood cut in all sorts of shapes. There are signs that was professionally made all over the Internet. Find the one that speaks to you or make one yourself. Add old, crystal door knobs, or lace or fabric, to your sign. Paint your sign white. Paint them black. There is no wrong way, it's right if you like them.

Be Bold, it's fun!

Michelle

"Fabulous Coordinator"... Thank you!!

Michelle Gregory - the Jones Victorian Estate
Wedding Coordinator/Designer

"To the most amazing Michelle,
It has been nearly a month now and I still can not believe how much of a success you made my wedding. YOU ARE AN AMAZING PERSON! My mom and I may have argued about useless wedding planning but she was so right to convince me to meet you. If you thought we bickered over flowers incessantly, you should have see her to try to convince me to meet you! Our first meeting/session I just was overcome with a wave of comfort and happiness that you would be the perfect fit for the planning of the wedding. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything you have done: the hospitality at your house, vendor recommendations, meeting with the Church in San Gabriel, phone calls, borrowing of the Shinoda card, last minute/late night meetings, building of a timeline, all your hard work on the Friday before and most importantly just the role you played the day of. There are no amount of "thank you"s that can come out of my mouth to express how I feel. I know you and my mom have been in some contact but we still need to meet up next week to wrap up some loose ends.
Chris and I are forever grateful for all that you have done for us. Thank you for everything and of your tireless efforts you put in. It was extremely helpful having you there. You took a lot of pressure and stress off everyone and we are forever indebted to you for that! You are an incredible human being, a fabulous coordinator and genuine friend to all of us.

With love and appreciation,

Tiffany and Chris Garbis"
