Bridesmaid's Dresses: Soft and Flowing and Different!

Hi!

Selecting Bridesmaid's dresses can be difficult at times... but not for the reason you may think.

Most of the time, the Bride really has an idea or the color of what she wants.

What often is missing is the belief that she can find it!

Here, Brianna had the confidence to go for it! She actually selected two colors; pink and grey, and 

let the ladies select the gown of their choice in those two colors.

What happened? 

Magic!

The ladies looked amazing with gowns that fit each of their personalities.

Each gown was soft and flowing and was a wonderful accent to the Bride's gown!

Now these Bridesmaids and Bride are ready for the party!

I loved the two colors! 

I loved the softness of the dresses.

I loved that each dress was different.

I love these pictures!!!!

A New Slide Show!!

I just love new slide shows and this is definitely no different.

MichaelJonathanStudios.com sent over a slide show of Ashley and Ron's Wedding day here at the Jones Victorian Estate. The weather was clear and gorgeous, the flowers colorful and beautiful, the Bride breathtaking and fun and the day... spectacular!!

An Eleven Year Anniversary Note!

Hi!

On September 15th of this year, I received a lovely email from Jamie Foley Hood.

Who's Jamie Foley Hood?

She's one of my Brides and she was married here 11 years ago!

I was so excited to hear from her and see her lovely family.

There is a lot to say about Facebook; good and bad. 

 The wonderful aspect of having a site there is connecting and seeing and enjoying. 

I wouldn't have been able to see her beautiful daughters and all their family pictures if it wasn't for Facebook... or at least as easily. 

So, Thank you Jamie for the beautiful photograph and note!!! 

I know I left you a message in September on Facebook, but I wanted to share it on my blog!!

What a Sneak Peak!!

Brianna and Christopher were married this weekend and what a day we had!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Kevin Le Vu Photography and I had a blast.

One of the best aspects with working with Kevin is his flexibility. I would suggest something and he didn't even hesitate. Before my eyes, he would take my idea to a new level... like the picture below.

Ahhh... Kimberly and Tyler's Engagement Shoot!!

Hi!

Ahhhh, the engagement shoot!! I just love being part of the entire wedding process and the engagement shoot is no different.

What's great about having the engagement pictures taken at the Jones Victorian Estate is this; 

During the actual event, there is just not enough time to get to all the terrific locations at the Estate. 

Having your engagement shoot here not only allows your photographer more time to be creative but to be more comfortable with the surroundings. You as the Bride and Groom, have an opportunity to enjoy the Estate that much more!!

Burlap and Lace!

Hi!

Ahh, the simplicity and ruggedness of burlap and the elegance of lace! What a great pair.

Brianna's wedding is coming up this month and she dropped off extra burlap that they had left over from the runners. Her mother made beautiful burlap/lace runners for all the tables. 

And then, I got in the act...

I made Burlap bows with a touch of crystal for the pews...

Burlap and lace pillows for our swing....

Lace chair covers with burlap band and bow and topped with a crystal jewel....

I found these vases in my Bride's room attic and thought of the use of burlap. So, I made these burlap/lace bands with burlap/lace flowers....

And then I made NINE of them for the cocktail tables!!! All I need now are the candles!!

A simple accent like burlap might not be for everyone, but it's a great accent fabric that goes a long way!! The ideas for burlap are endless.
