Wedding Trends for 2021! The Jones Victorian Estate (714) 343-1964

 Hi!

Here comes the wedding trends for 2021! I sourced them from Harper's Bazaar, Pinterest, Greenweddingshoes, Wedgewoodweddings, Onefabday, Weddingwire, theKnot, countless blogs and even from the UK, all for a quick look at all the excitement!

1. RELAXED VIBES/BREAKING THE RULES: The couples are choosing to host less structured events with the emphasis on fun and designs that don't fit the classic mold. The celebrations  have more lavish decor, color, great food, entertainment and amazing photography. The focus is on mingling and conversation with quality over quantity.

2. HANGING ACCENTS: The florist are creating clever hanging florals from chandeliers, from wire, from lamps, whatever is up high. Sites are creating more overhead lighting with chandeliers, Chinese lanterns or large flowers, tiny lights, and bulb lighting. The results are stunning. Even at the Jones, we are adding more lights to our already stunning backdrops to create more magical appeal.

3. SUSTAINABILITY: The emphasis is on putting sustainability as a top priority. I think we have all had enough waste of the throw away utensils, plates, cups and etc from 2020. It is spilling into the Wedding Industry and I am thrilled. They want to reduce their carbon footprints! The awareness of all the dumping  in the land fills is giving people new incentives not to waste. It is now all about purchasing locally (Etsy or a garden supply for flowering plants), finding a venue with natural and beautiful backdrops (YAY  JONES VICTORIAN ESTATE), Meals that are based on raw ingredients from Farmer's Markets and even implementing VEGAN options,  finding local spirits (breweries in your neighborhood) for the bar supplies, local entertainment and prioritizing how ethical and sustainable their wedding dress designer practices are. It is about finding out about what they are buying and who they are supporting.

4. OVERSIZED EVERYTHING (OVER THE TOP!): Is it a wonder? Since 2020's designs were rationed, it is the oversized fun with a HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR and BOHO (Bohemian) VIBE touches that are the rage. Large flowing bouquets,  long flowing veils, two gowns or dresses instead of one, Grooms with a change too, bouncing or groupings of balloons, sparkling hair accents, chandelier earrings, pearls, rhinestones and glitter galore,  and lots of accented colors of Ochre, Mustard, Buttery with lush greens, and the dusty hues are integrated into the theme.  I love the mismatching of China and these refresgubg color palettes.

5. HEIRLOOM INVESTMENTS: Connecting back to our past whether it is a grandmother's old China or her jewelry or even a gown, this is front and center. It is those relationships that were so devastated during this pandemic and the need to embrace them now is a priority. The treasured items that mean so much are being repurposed for and in the wedding decorations creating new memories with the accent of the past. Couples are bringing items such as candles, mirrors, and even furniture. It's about creating a personal atmosphere with history.  Here at the Jones Estate, we create just that. If you are missing those items, we have them here; vintage China, silverware, linens, quilts, chandeliers, crystal and more that will help link you to the past and history.

6.  DIY: This is a year, DIY projects are not only being embraced but cultivated. With the enormous amount of tutorials on line, family and friends coming together to create one of a kind decorations. With the watchful eye of the Bride and Groom, these items are reflecting their style while bringing out the fun!

7. OUTDOOR EVENTS: What can I say? The Jones Victorian Estate has hosted outdoor events for over 140 years. It does not get any better than that! The events might have fewer guests but the emphasis on close family and friends brings more meaning and love to the event and it has never been more necessary than right now.

There is lots to look forward to in 2021 and beyond. Contact us today and let's see how we can make your dreams come true!

Doors... They're Not Just for Opening! Orange County Wedding location - Estate wedding 714-744-1608

\Hi! I found an old door with a lovely window recently and it has now found a lovely home with all my wedding props! It's a wonderful accent and a lovely detail to add. The doors may be decorated with flowers, special sayings, family photos... there are any number of decoration ideas available. They can go anywhere but I particularly love them as the entrance to the ceremony site.
These are just  a few of the fun with doors!
"I feel very adventurous. There are so many doors to be opened, and I'm not afraid to look behind them." Elizabeth Taylor

We have beautiful French Doors for the assigned seating! No one will loose their cards!!!
In this picture, a special family photo display was added to the middle!

Welcome! An open door is the best welcome!

Is there a place for a door at your wedding?

Doors and windows outside? Yes, they are a marvelous greeting and a beautiful way to invite your guests forward.

LIONS AT THE JONES VICTORIAN ESTATE... A LION DANCE THAT IS!

Hi!
There were Lions at the Jones Victorian Estate!

That's right! The Lion Dancers and their crew celebrated Christine and Robbie's Wedding!
Their routine was amazingly beautiful and artistic! They moved elegantly through the guests and were so life like. All the guests enjoyed the dance and presentation.
This is something I hope we do over and over again!

"Lion dance is a form of traditional dance in Chinese culture and other Asian countries in which performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume to bring good luck and fortune."

Walking thru the guests and interacting!

Even the kids enjoyed themselves!

Two dancers for each Lion... they are so talented!

And FUN!

Brilliant Yellow with Black at the Jones Victorian Estate

Hi!
The brilliant pop of yellow is amazing for Stacy teamed with our Ralph Lauren Black floral linens!
See how beautiful the combination was!
A special and big thank you to Kim and Jeray Photography!

Centerpieces were a wow factor!

We added black candelabras with crystals and the table design was complete! Thank you to Flower Allie of Fullerton for an amazing job with the flowers.

Seating for the wedding with yellow accents with crystals hung from our shepherd's hooks!

And the wedding arch... covered in orchids, roses,  gerbras with black crystals  for that breathtaking backdrop.

The Bride and Groom's sweetheart table with a white candelabra!

And the three flower girls taking a moment on our swing...

The gorgeous Stacy!

What is your dream? Do you have one? Let's find out and have fun!

Vanity Mirrors!

Hi!
Do you enjoy the romance and delicacy of anything vintage?
How about Vanity Mirrors?
They are very reasonably priced, from $5.00 to $30.00! They can be found a your local thrift store, flea market, antique store or antique swap meet. They are all unique and a beautiful piece to start with.
Kelly and her friend loved the look of the vanity mirrors and she decided to incorporate them in her wedding. This is how an idea starts!
What do you love?

She had a blast finding all sorts of different vanity mirrors. We then teamed them up with a vintage frame, some old and new bottles and lace doilies. I have an abundance of dried lavender so we made little bouquets for each mirror.

Here is the happy Kelly  with all the trays, frames with chalk boards and bottles for each arrangement.

From there, she had the table numbers professional "chalked," and we added flowers to the vases.

I have never liked the back of table number frames! So, I came up with an idea to add a card the size of the frame that detailed Kelly's bridal party and some fun facts about them. In that way,   no matter where a guest sits, it looks good and finished!!

The little lavender bouquet was just what Kelly wanted... a delicate addition.

The flowers were simple but elegant and each table hosted an assortment vintage bottles.

I love the combination of three vases; small, medium and tall, and a mix of color too!
Since her colors were green and light lavender, the green bottles just added to the fun of the overall design!

Here's Kelly and her girls!

This very vintage and unique centerpiece was a huge hit that everyone enjoyed.
In fact, all the ladies wanted to take the trays home!

What do you think? The mirrors are a beautiful base for any centerpiece. The delicate metal designs and the shape of the trays make them a great starter piece!
You can add your own touches and make it completely different!!

Do you need some help with designing?
Let's have some fun!!
