I recently saw a posting on line that mentioned us as a budget venue along with other venues that are just a house.  "Just a House" is an inaccurate description and in no way the Jones Victorian Estate.

What Kind of Hanger Will You Use For Your Gown?

Hi!

Have you thought about what  hanger you will use for your gown? I agree, It's a small detail.  I love all the components that when added  altogether, become spectacular. The Hanger is one those elements.

Here, the gown is hanging in our painted Bride's room closet. Hanger?

Here, the gown is suspended from one of our old arches. Hanger?

I always keep a stash of satin padded hangers just in case we need one for the gown or gowns, or bridesmaid's dresses. They come in a delicious variety of colors and just add an elegant touch to the overall photograph.

BUT, how about a Rhinestone hanger? If you love bling, it's a great look and a wonderful keepsake!

Where did I find it? I made it! I started with an old wooden hanger. I painted it silver then wrapped and glued the Rhinestones over the entire hanger. The silver bow was next and then an old vintage rhinestone earring completed the project. 

It's that easy.

My Favorite Pictures Until 2013!!

Well, 2012 is about over so I thought I'd take this time to post some of my favorite photos each day until the end of the year!

Each photo is so precious and has it's own story to tell!

Here's Shelby and her Mother sharing a very tender and precious moment together! It's so dear and one of my favorites. 

Here's Kallie and her ladies! It's just plain fun and I love the Bridesmaid on the left with her stretch and cute face!!

Here's Haamed and Kari at the end of the evening! They are both so joyous and the photographers (Kim and Jeray photography) caught the rose petals in flight! I love Haamed's expression and his fist in the air!!

And Brandi and Josh! They are just so cute! This photo was before the rose petal send off but after the last dance. I just love it!

Ahhh, Lois!!

Hi!

I just received this photo from Ashley of APictureLife Photography of beautiful Lois (D'Addario) Henley, my bride from October 21st!

(I actually stole it from Ashley's blog!! - thank you Ashley!)

It was an absolutely enjoyable experience from the beginning to the day of her event. I still remember the formal dining room in the Victorian House piled high with the most intriguing items she had collected and or made! We sorted and giggled, we paired and giggled, we created and giggled, we came up with wonderful ideas and giggled some more!

It's what I enjoy the most... creating!

I'm sorry to say I don't have more pictures but I will! Ashley will be dropping of a full c.d. of the event and I can hardly wait!!

A huge thank you to Flower Allie for the magnificent flowers!

Silver Candelobras...Wow!!

Hi!

The elegance of silver candelabras! Wow. Ashley and Ron took one look at our candelabras and it was love at first site! 

To make it even better, we mixed the silver candelabras with low silver pedestal dished that matched the tall candelabra bases. 

The result?

Aaaamazing!

The satin eggplant overlays were a perfect match and an elegant touch to the tables!

Wedding Stylist/Coordinator and Wedding Officiant!

Hi!

I thought I'd start this new month's posting on a personal note...

I had the distinct honor and pleasure of being the Officiant for my cousins Jinelle and Jeremy's Wedding in Rye, New York. (I now have a license from the State of New York!)  It had rained the day before and we woke up on Saturday to beautiful sunny day, crisp and gorgeous! The wedding took place on the grassy area of the Shenorock Shore Club with the spectacular backdrop of the Long Island Sound just foot steps away. 

To say I was nervous was a complete understatement. I'm used to being behind the scenes orchestrating the wedding not in front officiating.  My sister, Sue, flew out  along with my Mother for the wedding. Sue was the impromptu coordinator making me look good!

Jinelle, Jeremy and I wrote the ceremony creating a wonderful mix of humor, heart felt love, blessings and promises.

I took a page out of my favorite Pastor Mark Manning's book by saying;

"Jeremy you have kissed Jinelle before but never as your wife! You may now kiss your Bride!'

It was a truly magical experience.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my special privilege to introduce to you for the first time...

Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy and Jinelle Stent!"

That was on October 20, 2012. 

When one hears about a hurricane on the other side of the country, at times we feel removed, sad but not really effected. 

Hurricane Sandy's wrath included this lovely shore club

. 

The nation has shrunk and now it's really personal.  

My prayers and thoughts go out to all the family, friends and people of the communities affected by this terrible disaster. 

And  special prayers and  blessings to all the wonderful people that made October 20th Wedding so incredibly spectacular at the Shenorock Shore Club including  Mr. Richard LaCoursiere, the club's general manager and my cousin.

Cakes... in new ways!!

Hi!

I am so excited to share this blog with you! This new year brings wonderful changes to the Jones Victorian Estate. We have teamed up with ABC Cakes and it's a blast already!!

They bring with them  delicious and wonderful options for cake flavors and fillings (giving us an assortment of three cake flavors and fillings instead of two!!) as well as beautiful and personal designs but also creative and yummy additions! Here are just a few!!

These cute mini cakes could be an  addition to your traditional cake or a shower dessert or even a gift favor! These mini cakes are sure to be a huge hit however they are displayed. They are tasty and you choose the cake flavor, filling as well as the icing! These little morsels remind me of the "Ding-dong" but so much fresher and colorful!!

The Push Pop cakes were a show stopper for me to be sure! I thought they'd be a perfect "thank you" for any Ring Bearer and/or Flower Girl (s) at a wedding. It would be a extra special way of making them feel appreciated! What kid (or adult for that matter) would turn down these pops!

 Are you thinking of a cake topper and just not sure what to do? Well, these delicious chocolate Bride and Grooms would be perfect. You could have your topper and eat it too!!! That's not all! They would be a wonderful gift favor or a delightful suppliment to your candy station!!!

 Here's an areal shot from above! The chocolate cake opens to reveal candy or nuts inside!! They also have baby designs as well but that's for later! hehehe.

I have first dibs on  the Elmo Cake Pop!! Are these fun or what? I think they bring out the kid in all of us!
